Snip Chips
About Snip Chips — Flavours of the World
Snip Chips — Flavours of the World is a globally inspired snack brand that celebrates bold taste profiles and cultural richness in every bite. Instead of limiting itself to familiar flavors, this concept explores regional taste traditions and reimagines them as playful, crave-worthy chips. The idea is simple: take iconic global flavors and interpret them through a modern, vibrant packaging system that feels exciting, collectible, and adventurous. Snip isn’t just a snack — it’s a taste journey around the world.
Design Thinking & Creative Approach
The design strategy for Snip Chips was rooted in exploration and storytelling. Each flavor was treated like a cultural destination, with visual elements drawn from that region’s culinary cues, patterns, and energy. Rather than generic food imagery, I leaned into abstract symbolism — shapes, textures, and color moods that evoke the spirit of the flavor without feeling literal or cliché.
The challenge was to create a cohesive system where each pack feels unique yet unmistakably part of the same brand family. To do this, I developed a visual grammar that balances personality (through expressive graphics) with structure (consistent layout, typography, and information hierarchy). The product name “Snip” itself became a playful anchor — suggesting a small taste, a quick bite, and instant flavor discovery.
From initial sketching to digital refinement, every visual decision was informed by how it supports the user’s sensory experience — how someone might perceive the flavor before even opening the bag.

Colors, Typography & Visual Language
The color palette plays a central role in creating emotional impact. Each flavor gets its own distinct scheme drawn from cultural and gastronomic references — warm spices, tropical zest, smoky undertones, or cool herbal tones. These palettes don’t just look vibrant; they communicate flavor mood at a glance, making shelf impact stronger and helping customers instantly connect with taste expectations.
Typography was chosen to complement the brand’s energetic voice: bold, slightly geometric headline fonts give the product name and flavor titles presence, while clean sans-serif text ensures readability for details like ingredients and taglines. The typographic rhythm establishes hierarchy without overshadowing the artful graphics.
Visual elements — patterns, organic strokes, and dynamic shapes — draw inspiration from global cultures but are abstracted just enough to feel contemporary and joyful. These graphics create movement across the packaging, giving each flavor its own visual identity while maintaining clarity and consistency across the line.
The finished packaging system feels playful yet purposeful, culturally evocative but never stereotypical — designed to entice the eye, inspire curiosity, and invite people to dig in and taste the world.
